What is the Summer SMAC Salamanders Swim Team?

The Summer SMAC Salamanders Swim Team is the seasonal side of Smoky Mountain Aquatic Club (SMAC), which is the year-round USA Swimming club swim team that was founded in Waynesville, NC in 2000!

Why join a Summer swim team?

Swimming is not only an essential life skill, but it is also an awesome sport! Our swimmers learn more than just “how to swim”. They build new friendships, learn the importance of working hard, and have fun while doing it all!

Summer SMAC Salamanders Program Details:

We want YOU to join us! Summer SMAC has a blast both in and out of the water! We teach water safety, participate in friendly competition, and schedule fun team events as well. Please take a look below for more details:

Ages: 5 & Up

Requirements: Must be able to make it 1 length of the pool in some manner*

Program Dates: 5/26-7/23

Registration Open: 4/13-5/14

Assessment Day: 5/16 @ 10:15am

Price: $289 per swimmer + USA Swimming Membership Fee**

Practice Days: M/Tu/W

Practice Times: 4:00-5:00pm/5:00-5:45pm (group dependent)

Swim Meets: Thursday Evenings & 2x Championship meets (1x Saturday & 1x Thursday)

**fee varies from $40-80 depending on swimmer age
